Ørsted is growing in Atrium Tower


The Polish division of the Danish energy company extended its lease and expanded the total office space occupied in Atrium Tower to 2 237 sqm. Furthermore, mFinanse, a company owned by mBank Group, also became a tenant in the office building thanks to its leasing of 200 sqm of office space.

The landlord, AEW, is represented in the tenant acquisition process by the BNP Paribas Real Estate team.

Following the expansion, the Warsaw office of the global energy company now occupies 3 entire floors in the office building at Aleje Jana Pawła II 25. Ørsted, previously DONG Energy, has been in Atrium Tower since 2012.

Atrium Tower is a renowned office building, where its location with the terrific access to public transport, road infrastructure and cycle paths continues to be its strongest asset. Due to the attractive incentive package offered, Atrium Tower on the one hand draws new tenants, while on the other hand it remains an attractive option for the companies that settled at the Jana Pawła II 25 address a few years ago. Ørsted is an example of this type of tenant that took the decision to expand the office space occupied when extending its lease

Ørsted, previously DONG Energy, is a global leader in offshore wind. The share of the company in the market is estimated at approx. 25%, while the energy generated by Ørsted wind farms is used daily by more than 9.5 million people. Last year’s change of name from DONG Energy (an acronym of Danish Oil and Natural Gas) represented completion of another stage of transformation of the company which focuses its operations on green, renewable energy. In 2017 Ørsted divested its upstream oil and gas business, and it intends to fully phase out coal by 2023.

mFinanse, the new tenant in Atrium Tower, will move to the building in Q2 2018. The company operates within the finance industry providing its customers with professional finance management advisory services.
The 12-floor building offers more than 10 000 sqm of A class office space complemented by ground floor retail units with the total area of more than 600 sqm. Atrium Tower’s strong asset, as often pointed out by its tenants, is its location in the capital’s Central Business District, which provides excellent access to public transport, i.e. a new station on the second metro line, buses and trams, as well as Warsaw’s main road corridors. Additionally, the building fronts the 3-metre wide cycle path running along Aleje Jana Pawła II between Al. Solidarności and Rondo ONZ, which was refurbished in 2016.

The complex comprising the Topaz and Nefryt office buildings is located in Mokotów’s business centre at ulica Domaniewska 39.
